Welcome

You take me as I am
Into your new scarred hands
and when I run so far away
you always call me back again
into your open arms
not matter what ive done
amazing grace has found me here
because of what you've done, for me

Birthday Month!
Wednesday, March 26, 2008

Someone complained I haven't blogged for awhile, suffice to say, she's right. But anyhowww.

Whee, my 21st birthday passed about a week and a half ago... I'm 21! I wouldn't say like finally but yeah, I'm adult. Though it was my 21st, I still had a fairly quiet birthday as usual, spending it with Heartlands and 2 other mates. Thanks for the chocolates from Jones the Grocers, the Marc Ecko watch (bling bling!) and the Agnes B earring. Fantastic!

Anyway, I have 2 photos of my bentos from the last 3 days including today, so I'll post it up soon. hahah. People are always amused that I still can find the time to cook everyday. It amuses myself that I can do so everyday too! hurhur.

-edit-
*tadaaah. pictures. I realised that my camera phone had some dust on it, therefore the pictures that were taken look a little blurred. This was lunch from Monday till today. Tuesday's was a repeat of Monday's and Thursday's was a repeat of today's that's why there's only 2.

However, I've no choice for the next 2 weeks as if I don't cook, I won't have anything to eat. Sending the now 3 month old parcel to New Zealand will wipe out my bank account. Blahhhh. I was supposed to sent it over around December-January but I forgot. Shucks man. Stupid me. Hur.

Wow.
Sunday, February 24, 2008

Wow, it's kinda awhile since I last posted. About a month I think. I'm just going to type some things here to let you know that I'm still around. Though I don't know who reads this anyway.

On another note, Heartlands had a gathering today (or rather yesterday since it has past midnight) for John's super belated birthday celebrations. While waiting for them to arrive in Siglap, two of us went to The Cheesecake Cafe to chill before dinner. And honestly I think I had a little too much. haha. But it was good, and I tried escargots for the first time in my life. Pretty nice actually. Thought it wouldn't be good but yeah, it was! Continuing on, we went to Blooies which is in Jalan Tua Kong (slightly "ulu" place) for dinner, where we had good food though Patricia, Song Lee and I couldn't finish our food. Apologies there aren't no pictures of it, because I forgot to take them. Hurhur.

Patricia and I wanted to go to Karaoke after that to continue on celebrations but the two Boons weren't so keen on it so we ended up at a board game cafe as suggested by Boon Choon near Block 85. Didn't think it'll be very enjoying, but boy, was I mistaken. It was darn fun, because we were playing some card game first, where we had to do forfeits and the funniest was Song Lee having to wear a black curly haired wig for the duration of the game. Followed by
a haunted house game and then Headbandz. Out of all the lot, Headbandz was the most fun. Its a game where by you can only ask yes or no answer questions to a character or item on a card that's attached to a headband you're wearing. Only the rest of them can see what you are. We had characters like Muhammad Ali, Marilyn Monroe; places like Sydney, Venice, New York; and items like Crystal Ball, Garlic, UFO, etc. In the end, Gary had to forfeit because he scored the lowest points out of 6 of us and he wore a red coloured hair wig, with a vampire cape and holding this toy. haha. Hilarious! Was laughing so hard, I couldn't stop. Anyway, I'll post the pictures up when I upload it. I'm too lazy to now because it's 15 past five. So goodnight! Eh, sorry, I meant Good Morning. Hur.

Food.
Thursday, January 24, 2008

I've this massive craving for..

Udon noodles cooked with carrots, brocolli, mushroom and minced pork with either chicken stock or soya sauce.

Which means I need to go to NTUC (honestly I don't like to shop there, but it's the nearest to my place) and get udon. My only gripe is that they don't have brocolli.

Astoria Needs to Stop Spending.
Monday, January 21, 2008

Note to self: Astoria, you need to stop bloody spending!

Heh heh. I saw a pair of Onitsuka Tigers yesterday at Limited Ed Vault. It will set me back $149 if I get it. The worst thing about seeing something you like and not supposed to get is when it comes in your size. It's in my bloody size! Most likely if it's still available in a month's time I'll get it. Only if I can wait that long. I've a good mind to go back and get it tomorrow.

BentoBoxes.
Tuesday, January 08, 2008

These days, I have this massive uncontrollable urge to cook all the time. Okay, granted that most of the time I make the same things due to my habit of buying the exactly same ingredients, it's still enjoyable. Not say I'm unadventurous, but it's just easier. Chopping, dicing, frying, sauteing makes me quite calm. It sounds weird doesn't it. haha.

Now, I'm wondering what can I add to rice. I'm a rice bucket, and I can eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Atkins was the worst nightmare for me. Don't get me wrong, plain rice goes perfectly well with chinese dishes, but what can make it more interesting?

But I like making lists and it helps me sort out my thoughts while at the same time, some what organising my life.
